Coin Handling and Coin Storing

So how do you handle all those precious coins in your collection.  Believe it or not there is a right and a wrong way to coin handling.  Here will inform you on how to properly handle your coins.

Frequent  coin handling can harm the value of your coin dramatically.  Especially if it is an everyday thing.  It is our opinion to only handle coins when you have too.  Always avoid touching the surface of the coins, your fingers contain acid that is extremely harmful to the surface of the coin.  You will also want to keep in mind that you would like to keep the coin in the condition that you found the coin.  Constant coin handling will continually diminish the grade of the coin.  So always, always, always, handle the coins by their edges, and for that extra protection wear soft cotton gloves.  You should also thoroughly wash your hands before you handle your coins, plus when viewing a coin place it on a soft surface, placing it on a hard surface can result in nicks and scratches to the surface of the coin, which in turn will decrease the value of the coin.  Also remember not to touch the surface of the coin, fingerprints are very hard to remove from a coin, so try not to touch the flat surface of the coin as well.  All in all it is very advisable that coin handling should be completely avoided at all cost, and it is best to keep your coins in a protective case.  This will insure that the coins will stay the way you found them and not get any worse from the outside elements.

Coin handling, Coin storing, and coin cleaning are very important roles in having a successful coin collection.  Keeping your coins in the best possible condition, is inheritably the most conscious choice you can make about your collection.  Make it a big part of your hobby, and it will be more enjoyable for you.
